I'm going to be working in Cassidy(apparently right out of Nanaimo - I've never been either place) for a few weeks starting next week sometime. Any recommendations on trails to ride/what bike to bring? The bike options would be hardtail, dh bike, or mini dualie. If any locals want to ride I'll be available most evenings and likely have some kind of sweet shuttle machine.

I've written there once so far and it was fun.

Looks like there is a fun little DH trail somewhere near Cassidy. See "Seasons". If you bump into Steve's mom maybe she will give you directions.

It looks like the DH trail on Mt. Prevost. Regardless, lots of great riding there. Unfortunately, the fire road is closed until the rain returns, so no shuttling... Loooong climb.

So what bike would you recommend bringing? I'm tempted to just try and bring both - depends how big of a truck or whatever I end up with.

Well I'm in town and have Sundays off, a big truck for shuttles, free gas, and beer to share if you show me some cool trails. Does anyone want to ride tomorrow anytime or some other evening after 5pm? If so give me a call - 604-313-9722.

If you have a XC or AM type bike, ride the Abyss loop.
