Is it officially open now after the gaping maw (chasm of death?) incident or not?
I searched the forums and couldn't find anything so forgive me for being way out of touch...

Naw, not official (I don't think?)
But there IS a bridge over troubled waters and the trail is in great shape...

Rode it this afternoon and saw no signage indicating it was closed.
What's the delay in officially re-opening it? There's a sturdy bridge across the chasm.

The district wants to go in and build a larger bridge and do some work to hopefully prevent further erosion.
You could always ask them...

scroll down to parks and environment.
I couldn't find anything on the DNV website about the closure. There was a thread here on nsmb.com that was deleted when the current bridge was put in last year.

In typical DNV fashion, I think they expect that if you delay and prolong the process of actually fixing a problem,it will go away on it's own.
