I have a choice of bringing my stp or reign x, what should I bring and what can I ride thats not hard to find.

Not really DH - some fun stuff at the 'dump'

Yeah Hartland has some nice riding, but it's generally more AM style. Lots of great rock to play on though..

Anything out by Oakbay/ Uplands area?
from what I've heard theres almost no reason to bring the shore- other bike is a 24-25 pound street bike though..
Access to vehicle will be limited keep in mind
Bring your XC or AM and you will have a great time.
This is Victoria not Funland
All seriousness there is a lot of great single track on the south island and it doesn't involve the dump.
Oak Bay area, go up to the Uni dog walk park and play at the pump track and random kickers. That is a bout it for that area

You'll have more fun on your street bike here, as most stuff can be ridden on it. The dump is good, but lots of climbing to get down. There's some good loops to do that involves a fair amount of DH/FR/Faster stuff for the more gravity inclined.
Otherwise, on your ht, you can hit up the langford skate park, vicwest skatepark, gordon head skatepark, UVic dogwalking/frisbeegolf park for some small DJs and a fun pump track. There's the BMX tracks in Colwood that are really fun and have some big high speed jumps there. There's the highlands dirtjump park that's a small ways past Western Speedway in Langford.
