Hey I just moved to Victoria and I was wondering if anyone knew some places to go biking other than Hartland.

There's Sooke, but the real goods are up island. Mt Prevost in Duncan has the best riding on the island, there's Port Alberni, Nanimo, and Courtenay as well.
Also try searching this forum as well as The Shore, there have been a few threads like this over the last couple of years.

Victoria - Hartland (FR AM XC), Mt Work (AM XC), Thetis Lake (AM XC), Francis King (AM XC), Gowland Tod (AM XC), Stewart Mtn (AM XC), Goldstream Reservoir Area (AM XC), Mt Wells (AM XC), Bear Mtn (DH FR)
Sooke - Mt Quimper off Harbourview road (DH FR AM XC) (This leads to many other areas like the potholes, or even Shawnigan Lake if you know how), Broom Hill of Burr road (DH FR),
Shawnigan - Lots of stuff. Secretz. (DH AM XC)
Duncan - Tzouhalem (FR AM XC), Maple Mtn (AM XC), Mt Prevost (DH FR), Mt Sicker (DH XC)
These are riding areas that can be done in a few hours with a bike only, or with only a morning or afternoon of free time and a car, you can access the stuff outside of Victoria. I do not advocate poaching Provincial parks, but am merely stating that it is possible. ;) Lots of other stuff past Duncan.
