I think this is the funnier response. Way wittier. Perfect comeback.

Yeah, it's great if you live in Vancouver....but with a world class racer on their team out there spreading the good word on Cove....people that live around the world looking for info on their bikes have no place to go. Maybe they can get a program where they will give you your money back if you travel from other cities/countries to check out the goods....I will take $150 for gas and ferry...lol.

I am just havin fun, glad to hear they are working on a site...let's hope they keep it updated.

This movie is awesome! If you can make to the premier i would highly recommend it. It really puts the world cup circuit in to perspective and shows the speed and control of the riders.

It's official, I've heard "Marion Barfs" used in EVERY type of trailer now. That track is becoming as common as "The Voice" when it comes to it's use in trailers.

Clint Mansell is a Musical God.

I haven't been to the bourbon in years. I remember when it was red crushed velvet seats and shag carpeted table tops. $1 beers with the bummies and junkie karaoke. Then it closed for a month and was suddenly a college bar.

Don't forget the recovering waiters, scariest bathrooms in the city, and the closing time ritual of walking down the street to the Pig & Whistle for a few more beers and to see if the owner's wife was passed out behind the bar yet...

RIP the original Bourbon.

Tickets for tonights event are available at the Cove Shop or at the Door still.
Lots of prizes coming in from Dakine, Sombrio, Brodie, Cove, and Troy Lee Designs!
Should be a fun event. Doors at 8pm!
The Bourbon has changed a ton since some of you fellas have been there. Bathrooms are not scary and theres absolutely no carpet on the tables. Come on down and check it out for yourselves.
And yes, this is a 19+ event.

(i know we still don't have a website.)

oh yeah, I've been there since the reno, I just liked it better when my friends were the only ones there with fixed addresses. Beer was cheaper than the Cambie as well.

A screaming newborn is one of the only things that could keep me from going to see this movie. That said, I have a screaming newborn at home.

On a side ironic note, the Bourbon has a website (http://web.mac.com/stafox/www.thebourbon.ca/HOME.html)

I've never seen people fall asleep at the bar... at a premier. Clay porter needs to hire the english guy that narrates for Planet Earth. Or just smoke less j-strokes before he decides to go to work.

so true. more editing / less valium for the narrator. disappointing. if you're looking for race footage, the freecaster vids with real-time commentary by warner / gracia is much better entertainment.

you think?

warner/gracia was funny in a novelty kinda way at first, but now it just sounds like 2 drunk guys trying to talk over each other and it's just plain annoying.

Trust me, at least the freecaster video would keep you awake.

Don't get me wrong, I like previous Clay Porter's movies but he should just stick to what he does best which is racing footage. Lately, his movies are trying to dramatize DH racing a little too much but the racing footage has been lacking.
