I worked last night at the park, and one of things I knocked off was sweeping and hawging out the drains. The track is clean and fast. Wet, but there's still good traction.

Listen carefully. I'll only say this once...We'll NEVER cancel a race due to the weather.

Did that sound bad-ass enough?

...cause I think I messed it up. My voice wasn't low enough.

Weather Network (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cabc0308) just upgraded their weather report status from "Crappy" to "....Enh."

Which looks better than it did last night. This means we will be guaranteed NOT to have: Dust. Blinding Sunsets. SPF 30. Pearly White skin. Or a lack of Pure Awesomeness.

We'll have a tent there....just in case!

Race report right HERE (http://www.pipelinebikepark.com/home.php).

Dave put his foot down during qualifying, heard a pop, and sat down. He said he could figure out what happened, so he went to the Emerg...just to be safe.

If anyone doesn't know the story about "Demo" Dave, he got teh name for 2 reasons...He ran the Kona Demo tour, and got hit by a truck a couple years back by a truck on Harper Mountain while riding with the Cafe kids. He wrecked his leg.

If you see the scar, don't believe anything he says about a mako shark. It's a damn filthy lie.

Anyhoo. (Grab motion sickness bag now) The bones had been healing over the last two years and ended up growing together. The "pop" sound was the bones separating. So it's not broken, and he's walking much straighter now.... Still lots of swelling, but he should be back out in a week or so.
