Had a great rip on Fromme yesterday however upon finishing my ride at the corner of Coleman and Mountain Highway, I run into 4 riders being loud, with their kit all over the street and drinking beer, as well as f-bombs loudly being dropped that I can hear them a block away.
I kindly informed the lads of the issues in the area and they seemed receptive and left it at that.
However, is it just me or should this just not be happening at all? With the ongoing issues on Fromme that's the last thing we as a group need to undermine all the work the NSMBA has done.
Anyway, rant over.

I agree with you. Problem is that a lot of guys aren't on nsmb, and aren't aware of the politics behind the parking ban.
Some people are just inconsiderate idiots.
Unfortunately, a few of them are also mountainbikers,

Good on you for telling them. Too many people are spineless and even more are like the turds you talked to. I always park in the same spot up Fromme. And every time I see the home owner I wave and say hi to her, I have never had a ticket for being park there for a little over 2 hours.
Wow I made you go from 56 to 74....LOL

Well I did find the "you'll catch more flies with honey" worked fairly well in this case. Being polite to those guys made them semi receptive.
And don't get me wrong I use that language more than I should and drink beer but there's a time and place for everything and that neighbourhood isn't one of them.

Precisely why I leave the neighbourhood ASAP after riding!

Me and my friend like to sit in Monica's neighbors back yard, drink beer shirtless and BBQ and BS about our ride, but that is just to piss Monica off, we are out of sight of all the other neighbors.:scream:
I saw her husband driving away the other day, he stopped and took a picture of a pick up truck parked in front of the park, I guess they e-mail the pictures to the District. I saw the 2 guys with the truck come out of the park about 10 minutes later, so I went and told them they were parked illegally, they were just a couple of hikers from Vancouver that had no idea there were parking restrictions there.
If you miss the big red sign, as most people do, you would have no idea that there was parking restrictions on McNair.

You bet ya, I am the friendliest guy on the mountain/on the street otherwise. I stop and chat with anybody who is not a mtn biker, I guess that is because mtn bikers are loud, drunk, shirtless jerks.:o
