The next SORCA DH trail day is June 22nd, 10:00am Sunday at the Golf Club. This`ll be a big day so pack a lunch and lots to drink. We`ll work on Grin `n` Holler, AKA `That sick new Squamish trail`. The trail was completed last year, and has already seen more traffic than it rightly should.

Come give back to a beautiful trail that EVERYONE shuttles, that was created on the backs of half a dozen hard workin homies.

Barry

Ya Barry, G n' H trail day! Come on everyone lets give this trail the love it needs. Everyone and their dog from everywhere ripped this trail all of last year and it got smacked down especially after people continued to ride it in the rain and muck. There is still lots of snow up top so please stay off this trail until it dries out. No early season poachers, thanks! If you ride G n' H please show up for trail day so we can get her in mint shape for some good summer rippin! No more "They should fix this" "They should fix that"....BS. "You" should show up and help fix it yourself! Thanks, see ya there.

Hey guys & gals! I hate to say it but I just got called away to work again. I will be working out of town this coming weekend so I will not be able to organize a trail day on G n H. For those of you that are able to get out, feel free to do whatever dirt work that's needed. Please do not build or alter any woodwork though. Since this trail will be seeing tons of traffic this year, the builders really appreciate your help in maintaining it. Thanks, see you out there soon!

Upper Powersmart has a few trees down on it, but a small effort to clear these would render the trial rideable. Anyone up for a little work on that this weekend?
Skookum last night. Daaaaamn.

Hey guys, BVOD on Saturday then I was thinking about doing maintenance on G n H on Sunday then riding something Sunday afternoon. Clearing Powersmart would be a great idea as well.

Think I'm gonna go cut some logs on Powersmart on Saturday. If anyone's down - holler.

Are there any squampton boys who are visiting North Van before the trail day? I should have some nails to donate later this week. (50 lb 4-1/2" galvanized straights)

If you don't get someone before the trail day I can ask a couple co-workers that live in Squish to drop them off.

jpi bought a home in Cumberland and is moving over on June the 20th.

New home is on Comox Lake, about 30 seconds from the second yellow gate. gtfi.
BBQ city.

I will need someone to take over my 'trail in progress' in Squampton and get er finished. Anyone interested let me know via pm and we'll discuss :)

Huge thanks to the very few people who actually showed up for the Grin n Holler trail day. You tend to see the same few faces every time and that's about it. Some good work got done but not nearly enough. It would have been nice to see a few more of the locals that shuttle the hell out of this trail. Stay off this trail in wet conditions, it cannot handle it and there are obviously not enough people willing to do the maintenance. Thanks again for the hard work from the people who care.

Yeah... pretty weak turnout for the trail day considering how many people skid down that trail in the rain... Only some of the original builders and 4 or 5 people who have never even ridden the trail showed up (props to you folks!!) Many riders were informed of the trail day (some as they were seen coming out of the trail in the rain) and most said they would be there... not a single one of those dicks showed up. Anyways... enough bitching. Sections of the trail still need a bit of love (armouring and drainage work)
Feel free to have your own maintenance day on it or to pile rocks beside wet areas.
Maybe more people will show up for the Powersmart maintenance day this Sunday (June 29th)
Thanks again to the guys and gals who showed up last weekend. You rock!
