He's working out of his house while setting up the new store.

He'll get back to you, don't worry and it's definitely worth the wait.

Mudd you might want to take your zokie to Naz, looking at Suspension Werx splash page they service Fox, Manitou, Rockshox only. But who knows maybe James does service zokies, it's just not on his splash page.

Hm, must be busy working on my fork. Odd. I emailed him last week and got a response within 30 minutes. Or perhaps his new work space is finally ready (he's working out of his home now) and he is moving all is equipment.

I know he is building a larger shop to try and deal with the work load he is getting.

Worth the wait at any rate. My fork feels like a whole new animal.

I think there may be confusion between the James of OGC fame, and the james that frequents these boards and works for Norco doing suspension and other repairs.

I think there may be confusion between the James of OGC fame, and the james that frequents these boards and works for Norco doing suspension and other repairs.

To add to the confusion, the James that frequents these boards does not work for Norco any more, and is now working for OGC doing suspension repairs.
James D is the suspension guru at suspensionwerx.com
James H is the new OGC suspension guy
Naz is still rocking the Marz stuff.

Oh dear.

That is confusing.

I hope James H can live up to James D's name, considering he's working his old job!

So now "James at OGC" is someone totally different!

I hope James doesn't turn into Bikeroom. They wouldn't return emails either, and look what happened to them.

A lot can be said for answering emails.

Answering e-mails was not Bikeroom's main problem. Charging credit cards for undelivered goods was Bikeroom's main problem.... big.. big... difference.

I e-mailed James at suspensionwerx - got a reply quite quickly about the service offered, the cost associated, the turnaround time.

I ordered something from Bikeroom, got my credit card charged - then sat around wondering where my stuff was and why I felt violated. Again - Big... big... difference.

That's a pretty low shot.

Bikeroom was an online shop. James is opening a suspension shop. Since the actual shop isn't open yet, email is the only point of contact at this time. If he sat in front of a computer answering emails all day long, nothing would get done.

He's in the process of opening a new shop while still taking care of as much as he can from his shop setup on top of the washer and dryer in his basement. A little busy me thinks.

Have some patience until the shop actually opens. Then you can just take it in like every other bike shop. He's not an online store.

Not trying to low blow anyone, just making a point about the importance of connecting with potential customers.

I guess if he's not even open for business yet it's understandable.

I just want to let to know how good of a guy suspensionwerx James is.

I bought a manitou revox off Matt Hunter for my demo 9. It was a good shock at first, but started to feel really funny. Called Matt who was super cool about it but he no longer rode for manitou so he could not help.

Sent my Revox into trident and they had it for 6 weeks and $150 later I got it back. Still felt weird, but was told to ride it for a while. Trident was very good to deal with, but the shock still felt funny. Trident said send it back, but it would cost to get it rebuilt again.

Google James, sent his an email and explained the situation. He was not working on Manitou at the time, as he was at OGC. James said he would do it at his house for me and felt really bad that my shock had been acting up for so long and he rebuilt it for me.

My shock feel absolutely awesome now, better than it has ever felt. James prices are an absolute bargain for what you get and his service have earned a customer for life.

Be patient when dealing with a small company. Would you rather James to spend quality time working on your suspension or sitting on a computer or waiting by a phone like a used car salesman?

Just got my leaky Totem Solo Air back from James through Obsession:Bikes.

I dropped it off on Sunday afternoon of the long weekend, and picked it up on Wednesday. Excellent service!

I sure hope it doesn't leak 3 weeks from now... Appearently James uses a higher quality oil than Rockshox that isnt supposed to leak as soon.

Update to come...

I took my Fox 100x in for servicing. Pick it up today. James seem like a nice guy. He also did a great job of explaining to me why my fork was acting the way it was.

He took some time off over the Canada weekend so that might be why you have not heard from him. I got an e-mail from him last night saying I could pickup my fork today.

Twice in the past few weeks James has fixed up gear for my bikes. First off was my Evolver shock a couple of weeks ago, then just this week, he reworked my shock on my XC bike so it would be ready for the Gear Jammer race.

Easy to see why people like James and Naz do well in this market. Nices guys who know what they are doing.

Thanks again James

James is most awesome! I will be a customer for life as well. He has helped me out a few times now and keeps my Fox 40 in top condition despite my attempts to screw it up. I couldn't believe the deal he gave me when I was in dire straights with the fork the first time. He also took time out of his busy day (building new shop) to show me some setup for the fork and rear shock.

The new shop is coming along and it was nice to see he has some help there as well (Arthur).

Keep up the stellar work !
