Epic Morning at Grouse

North Shore getting hit hard and Kim and I hit the first tram up Grouse. Was amazing and the conditions should hold all day with the new snow. Gotta love this winter:damn:

Cypress is reporting that only the easy rider chair is open due to high winds, with 15cms of new snow and more coming throughout the day. Hopefully it opens tonight.

winds were starting to get big when we were going up the tram and on the back side down the back runs it was fine and on the chair however the cut chair on the way out was getting pounded and the gondola back down was fine they just go slow. Cypress however is right on the edge there in the wind so could be a different story...hope you get out...:woot:

Backcountry on Seymour was extremely sketchy this morning. 20 Cm slabs running on ski cutting and failing naturaly

could easily step down to the next layer.

OK, then that was you this morning Dave. I was gonna say hi in the tram but I have the flu and just about everything is too much effort... except riding pow. Good stuff this morning, maybe Thurs morning I'll hit it again before work

super windy on cyps saw some stuff run like rat said.

but all was good in the trees.

cyps did open but the strachan side was totally wind crust. black side was a lot better.

I stayed on Strachan the whole night, should have gone over to black, some great skiing in the early evening. The bowen face trees were holding decent snow.

Nice and quiet the whole night as well.
