I thought I would ask here, before NS, you people seem to know more than those park skiers over there.

I am just wondering when the storms in Baker end in the season? When do they stop getting fresh on a regular basis?

What's the chances of there being fresh on the weekend of March 1st? I don't see a point in going unless there's new snow.

Thanks in advance.

Here's some info on snowfall over the last few years.

Obviously there is less fresh in late february, but there is still decent accumulations it just depends on when.
I was there last friday and it was awesome, 4 feet of snow in the week before. It was freakin deep!

Forecast says there will 18 cm new snow on Feb 29, and March 1 will have sunny blue skies.

I'd go.

Holy, where do you find a forecast that shows that long from now? That sounds awesome!

I think he has a crystal ball... No one can forecast that far in advance.

The storm cycles this don't seem to be letting up anytime soon, so I think you have a good chance of good skiing. You're just going to have to wait and see.

I hope your joking. Unless your going out into the BC of Whistler, Baker seems much better.

the shitty part is, because of the fresh snow and sunny skys, it'll be so busy that the cafeteria will run out of chocolate chip muffins.

I don't have crystal balls like Heckler but I'd say its more likely to be epic than bunk. Go for it, you always regret the pow days you missed more than the shitty ones that you skied

Baker is probably the greatest mountain. I'd love to get over there more often.

yeah, the snow was so deep there last week - ridiculous!! I'm short but all knee deep to waist deep all day long!! The 6" of fresh (as of the 5pm snow report) that we'll be skiing tomorrow at Blackcomb seems like a light dusting!!
