What's the slidey slide danger right now? Been cruising the CAA site and the threat level is at Al Qaeda on the North facing slopes.

Sent my dukes back (since they came broken) and picked up a pair of trekkers last week to get me through the season so I might be up for a few dawn missions in the coming weeks.

someone tell George that bin laden is hiding in a snow cave on the north side of Seymour!

I was up this morning solo and took it pretty easy. Id say there is a pretty nasty layer between the new snow and the ice crust thats going to get worse as the snow loads it up.

S'what I've been looking at too.

I was watching people bootpack straight up the face of 1st peak last weekend, right through the big open slide zone. I was kind of dumbfounded really...

What time would you be heading back down the mountain?

I'd like to get up there.

Very sketchy. Give the area a miss for now.

that said there are a few short low angle runs a guy could do

Yeah I wondered about that...Lots of wind today and a heavy dump coming tomorrow so its gonna be sketchy for a little bit.

I was contemplating playing hooky thursday morning and hitting cypress... I might be coming to work in my snow pants if the weather continues to shape up.
