I'm looking for some light elbow/mid forearm protection to wear occasionally for dirt jump sessions & bigger mtn lines.

It's important that they're:
-slim fitting/not bulky
-protect abrasions/cuts (not as concerned on big impacts)
-fit well
-don't move when an actual crash occurs
-flexible & don't impede arm movement

Anyone using these?

These seem OK, but i'm not crazy about the hard cup, & the two strap seems like it won't hold.
I do like that the protection goes into the mid forearm.

Anything in the bmx world that's comparable/better?
I've been using wethepeople knees for a while now, and the elbows look pretty good.

Please don't recommend something like Roach rally arms, they're not what i'm looking for.

I like the TLD ones a lot, but I don't know if they have the right "steeze" for the dirt jumping set. They're nice for DH riding though and don't impede movement or cut off circulation (which is why I hate the elbow-only DJ style pads). Light weight, and cheap too. My $0.02.

I've had the Dainese elbows and would never recommend them to anyone. The elbow pads will spend 99% of their time on your wrists, they just don't stay on your elbows. Garbage.

They have elbow pads at the Yamaha dealer near my place that are identical to the Troy Lee elbows (the plastic shell is the same cast) for about $15. For that kind of money, you can't go wrong. They seem to fit nice and snug and should stay where they are supposed to.

More importantly for the ape - how much do they weigh?

True, true. Weight is important. I am altering/reducing my apeshape too so no hypocracy there.

They might have been AXO, I'm not sure. I will try to to pop by there this week, I need to go and get chainlube anyway. I'll have a look when I go.

Look into the Mace "Urbans". Thin and flexible. Overtime had them on for 20 bucks a set I think they still do.

I have a saying for you. It starts with "Harden" and ends with "up".
