man this is only adding to my anxiousness for ski season ... :rocker:

these are from Saturday on Unecessary Mountain. we hiked back via Strachan and it was snowing pretty good up there (no pics though). snow was sticking down to just below top of Sunrise lift then.

i'm getting way too excited for snow considering we only just started October. Sat was the 3rd time i've been snowed on this fall in the mountains, so it feels like it's getting close :)

Duke, those pics, and that whole hike was fully powered by some of that quality pizza toppings that you like ... KnightRider and I almost got ourselves into some trouble on that one :shhh:

I was working in 3 inches of wet snow measuring juvenile trees in the understorey on thursday ,kneeling in the shit ,mounteenering boots were soaked thru,the minimal gloves I was wearing for devils club/spruce kneedle protection but still allowing me to write were just barely keeping my hands from being cold enough to hurt, ... I can wait 3 weeks for winter AFTER the contract ends

I broke out the feltpaks for tuesday and I had the snow tires changed today

BTW carhart rubberized rain gear is the shit ... WAY better than Helly Hansen
