Found this shot lurkin on my computer. Took it about a year ago, almost one of my first shots with my camera. I like the dank, motion blur effects. What do you guys think?

i like it, i just think there should be a little more space above the rider, is there an uncropped version?

I like it. But if I had to change something, it would be more space above the rider. I also think it would look better if you could have got a flash on the rider as he's pretty dark. But it's still dope8).

I feel like flash could take away from the darkness and dampness a bit.

I dig that photo a lot.

A well placed flash, not at full power;).

Thanks guys. And Geoff, no. A flash would freeze him, giving him no motion blur. Not what I was wanting.

ummm. open up the ap a few more stops for shallower dof, im not liking how sharp that wet foreground log is. also would be cooler to step to your left a bit, that branch is really interrupting him. maybe watch focus too, could just be me but it looks like the mossy tree on the right is the sharpest thing. other than that killer shot, no flash is needed really and you did a prime job of doing the blured subject.

p.s. did you need a tripod

See, it's all in the eye of the beholder. I think you got a fantastic photo there. Maybe not technically perfect and the things Midas doesn't like, for me make the picture. I like that the rider isn't the centre of attention, it's like oh; there's a guy rdiing a bike back there jumping off a honking sky bridge.. and I really like the focus and the gleam on the foreground log - it makes me feel the dank and greasy conditions. All that sweet foresty foreground stuff ultimately leads the eye back to the guy hucking. Nice one.

Wow, I'm not going to comment on the thread. But those pics aren't even something I would expect from LMM. And to look back at Faithless's equiptment. I still did not find the tripod joke though?

he was saying he needed a tripod and stuff to get his shot properly but clearly didnt if you managed to pull off that shot without one.
