The Delta Water Shed was the place to be Saturday morning. My first Cyclocross race went well. I placed third in the C race. The water tower hill is a bitch, I went hard right out of the gate, and two others answered the call. I made a silly mistake, and turned right, when I should have went left. That put me in second, which was no biggy, cus I caught him on the decent, which was quite technical for a Cross race. (sad by mountain bike standards). But that fricken water tower hill, he dropped me. I chased hard, caught him again, only to be dropped on the hill. Again  Next lap some guy on a Kona zoomed past me and the dude I was chasing up the hill (I hate that hill). I was in third for the rest of the race.

I haven't raced that hard for awhile. I'm still coughing up lung butter. Not sure if it was the race or I'm getting sick. But next weekend is Starcrossed, sick or not I'm gonna Giv'r

hey i was there too - i think i was the only girl wearing baggies and boots :P it was fun, but i got dropped pdq at the first climb....sucks...and then couldn't make up my time. at least i know what i'm weak at. total fun though, i'm definitely doing this again. i liked the course, wasn't that difficult (technically anyways).

It was fun. I think I passed you at one point. I was the guy riding a white Ridley, with a red team kit.

See you at the Escape Velocity GP of Cross in Coquitlam. Ie BMX, Skate park. September 29th!

It's the highlight of many a Cross racers season.

The bummer part is I'm getting sick and it's now only 6 days away. I think the beer garden has my name written all over it.:fro:

I think I'm heading down for Starcrossed. Did it a couple of years ago it was a great time.

I'll see you there. I'll be the tallest guy in the Cat 4 race.

Maybe you will do better with Clippless shoes and pedals. That way you can get some more power out of the stroke?

couldn't get in 4 so I'll be the guy doubled over puking in 35+. I've only done a couple of rides in the last month.

Well that will make two of us doubled over and puking, cause the lung butter has kicked it up a notch, and I should be hitting a stage two quarantine state by the time Saturday rolls around.
